Resilience Montreal is a wellness center serving those experiencing homelessness in the Cabot Square area of Montreal. The project was a direct response to a true human crisis and the consequences of not acting, or of acting inappropriately, would be dire. CDA was proud to partner with Architecture Without Borders Quebec to realize this seemingly impossible renovation in a short period of time with the help of over 150 volunteers and countless donations of materials and expertise. The goal was to strategically transform the former restaurant, through small interventions and an attention to detail, into a series of spaces that were safe, warm, flexible, and welcoming to a diverse population.
